Decorating & Joining
Very professional operation, I wish all my suppliers responded as well. Keep up the good work, it's noticed.Industrial Applications, customer since 1998
Current customer applications extend across a wide variety of shapes and sizes. The most popular post-molding service at PCI is the pad printing of logos, company names, pictorial instructions/directions, phrases, warnings & identifications, or graduated measurements. Almost anything that can be replicated onto a pad print cliché plate can be printed at Polymer Conversions. (Products should be checked for substrate compatibility during the qualification phase to ensure certain chemicals used to clean/wipe the product, do not affect the printing).
Foil hot stamping, used on raised lettering or other raised sections of a product, can present a higher level of sophistication, adding an extra touch to a logo or company name to help catch the consumer's eye.
Adhesive and pressure sensitive label applications can be done by hand for smaller production runs or can be automated to fit the budget of larger multi-million part orders.
Thermoplastic injection molded components can be joined by many different methods. Although the most popular customer choice is ultrasonic welding, we have experience with many other different solutions for the joining of plastics. (see some examples below) Plastic components requiring a tightly sealed joint to keep out liquid or other materials can be leak tested during shift inspections. A “pull test” can also be done to prove weld strength, should the customer require this process.
PCI is always looking for new services to add to their repertoire.
Are you currently doing your own value-added processes in-house, but don't see the technology used here?
No problem. Call and speak to an experienced engineer that can help you lower your project costs by bringing services in-house to Polymer.
